Schedule an audio/video call with the PT Notary/Closer (3 days prior to the document signing) by contacting your AE or emailing our ProperContact team here.

Set up a time to review your Seller docs with your attorney.
Transmit by electronic means a copy of the front and back of unexpired government issued identification of the signatories to Proper Title [if possible].
Please provide a copy of a utility bill with your name(s) and property address, if applicable.
Be prepared to authenticate your identification(s) at your signing appointment time. You will be asked to provide your cell phone number for a 6-digit code to be used to authenticate your ID.

Wait until all parties join the audio/video call, and once appearing both in sight and sound, start recording.
PT Closer will ask all parties to introduce themselves.
For the purposes of identifying the signatories, PT Closer will ask them to hold up to the live video camera the physical identifications previously transmitted, and ask them to attest, verbally, that they are one and the same persons so identified in the transmitted identifications.
The signatories and PT Closer must state their physical location, including street, city and state.
PT Closer will send a 6-digit code to your cell to authenticate.
PT Closer will ask the signatories to initial every page of the Seller closing package being witnessed and notarized.
PT Closer will ask the signatories to sign every page of the Seller closing package being notarized.
PT Closer will recite the remote notarization certification to you.
PT Closer will ask you to place the documents in the FedEx envelope provided and affix the pre-paid return label to the FedEx envelope and return to PT.
Once completed, PT Closer will stop the recording.
Require the signatory to provide an electronic copy of the signed documents being notarized. To scan documents from your phone’s camera, there are applications available for download such as Adobe Scan here.
